Anthony J. Rio, DDS, FAGD, grew up in Chicago, then went on to
earn his bachelor’s degree from Marquette University before
serving in the U.S. Army Reserve for six years. He also obtained
his dental degree from the Marquette University School of
Dentistry. He maintains professional memberships in the American
Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, Burlington
Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Rio has engaged in extensive postgraduate education, receiving a fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. His commitment to lifelong education means he is constantly evaluating emerging dental methods and technologies in order to provide his patients with the best results in the least invasive manner with a high emphasis on comfort. This commitment ensures the highest level of care, both today and tomorrow. Learning isn’t only gained by being a student. Dr. Rio is a past associate professor of fixed prosthodontics at the Marquette University School of Dentistry.
Since 1962, Dr. Rio has been in private practice in Burlington, WI. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, travel, and cooking.

John E. Knutson, DDS, has dedicated over 35 years to providing
his patients with excellent dental care so that they may enjoy a
lifetime of happy, healthy, beautiful smiles.
He earned his bachelor’s and dental degrees from the University of Minnesota and served two years as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps. He took advanced training at the Bethesda National Naval Medical Center and is a graduate of both the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and the United States Dental Institute. He has completed advanced training in cosmetic, implant, and sedation dentistry, allowing him to give his patients smiles that are both functionally elegant and esthetically beautiful.
He believes that no two patients are alike – each has different needs, wants, and limitations. With skill and compassion, he treats his patients with a comprehensive approach, taking care to listen to their concerns and to provide them with specific customized solutions.
His friendly and soft-spoken demeanor puts his patients at ease, and his expertise and perfectionism ensure excellent results. His gentleness and his skills in sedation dentistry have caused patients to come from near and far, and he is pleased to welcome patients from Burlington, Lake Geneva, Waterford, Twin Lakes, Kenosha, Racine, Union Grove, Chicago, and the suburban Milwaukee area.
Outside of the office, Dr. Knutson’s passion is building and flying experimental airplanes, and to date he has built and flown two. He and his wife enjoy the great outdoors, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
